Having finished its stock of movies to remake from the ‘70s and ‘80s, Universal is now looking to the ‘30s for inspiration in the form of monster classic Bride of Frankenstein.

The 1935 film had Dr. Frankenstein coerced into building a mate for the monster. However, the bride rejects the monster and causes the downfall of all the character.

Neil Burger of The Illusionist fame will direct and co-write the script with Dirk Wittenborn.
