We have yet to see a single scene from James Cameron’s highly anticipated sci-fi action flick Avatar, even though the tie-in game has been announced, concept art has been shown and everything else is known… including the film’s runtime.

A posting at Film Crew T-shirt suggested a 189 minute runtime for the film. It was picked up by /Film who followed up with film producer John Landau, who confirmed that it is “definitely over two and a half hours” long.

The film is due out later this year in both regular and IMAX theaters.
