Incredible Mr. Limpet gets enchanted director

June 14th, 2009 in Directors, Fantasy, Remakes -

An incredible talking fish is coming our way soon, as Warner Bros. is gearing up its remake of The Incredible Mr. Limpet and has gotten Kevin Lima (Enchanted) onboard the ship to direct.

The 1964 original centered on the title character, a regular man who transformers into a talking fish. He soon becomes a World War II hero when he helps spot and thwart enemy warships for the Allies. It was a live-action-animated hybrid in the likes Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

The new project will also be a blend of live action and animation. Jim Carrey and Robin Williams have previously been attached to the project.
