LaBeouf is no longer the Last Man

June 10th, 2009 in Action, Actors, Book-to-Movie -

Thank god the guy has a brain in his head unlike most other opportunistic actors: Shia LaBeouf, who has been linked with the role for years, has ruled himself out of playing Yorick Brown in the upcoming Y: The Last Man film adaptation.

He drew parallels between his character in Transformers, noting how both characters are essentially “the ordinary guy in an extraordinary situation” and that he might be “too old to play the role by the time [the movie] comes around.”

Director and writer D.J. Caruso and Carl Ellsworth, respectively, still remain attached to the project. It follows the last man on earth after a plague wipes out all men on the planet.
