The Hollywood Reporter carries word that David Leslie Johnson has been hired to write the remake of the recently released Australian indie horror film Lake Mungo.

The original is a faux-documentary mystery that revolves around the paranormal events that happen around a grieving family when their teenage daughter apparently dies.

Unlike the original, the remake will use a more traditional narrative approach.
