The Time Traveler’s Wife touches on a subject that all married women have to deal with — their husband’s shortcomings.   Henry’s flaw is different compared to most husbands.  He has a gene that makes him time travel and he can’t help it — very clever indeed with awesome dematerializing effects — Clare never knows when Henry will disappear and time travel. The crux of the story is that Henry doesn’t know either and it puts a strain on their relationship. 

The movie is based on the popular book by Audrey Niffenegger.
