50 Cent confirmed to play Hyde in remake
Rapper and actor 50 Cent revealed today to MTV that he will be playing the role of Mr. Hyde in the upcoming remake of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde. Forrest Whittaker will be playing the role of his sane counterpart. Well, let me reiterate, it’s not exactly a remake but more of a “re-imagination” by filmmaker Abel Ferrara. Fiddy says that the film will be a modern take on the classic tale.
Just in case anyone is confused, this film is not to be mistaken with the one in which Keanu Reeves is starring in. They are two completely different films, although will probably be released in the same year.
Remakes aren’t really my thing. I mean, if you want to introduce a great story to a new audience, why not just give them the original? There has never been an occasion in which a remake has been better than the original. Be original, Hollywood!

I have to say I will probably skip this one… Definitely not a fan of “half a buck”. Maybe if his name was $2.50.
