Dibb to do the spider dance, shock locals

July 1st, 2009 in Directors, Drama -

Having done The Duchess, Saul Dibb is onboard to do another period piece, this time set in the 19th century.

Dubbed Spider Dance, the film will follow a young American woman who arrives in a conservative part of colonial Sydney, Australia with an entourage of actors and other celebrities in tow.

She then proceeds to shock the locals with her uninhibited ways, showing off her addictions and romantic pursuits.

John Rhys-Davies has already been cast in the film, though his exact role is unknown. Shooting starts sometime next year in Australia and Germany.
