Today in the short film market, we’re taking on Lovefield, which if I understand correctly managed to take home Best Short Film from the Tremblant Festival.  Let’s see if they made a decent call.

I really can’t tell you a whole lot about Lovefield, because in this case, to do so would be to spoiler it pretty badly.

I’ll tell you this much though: one, it’s a great short film that’s going to do things you never thought possible.  Two, the ending is so wildly unexpected that you’ll probably find yourself rewinding just to make sure you didn’t accidentally cut over to another video.  Three, chances are you’re going to love this.

Love field is a thoroughly engaging movie that’ll do things you’ll never see coming, and despite the fact that they may not necessarily be what you were looking for, they’ll still be worthwhile.

The Screenhead Ten Scale hands Lovefield an eight out of ten for being excellent if just a bit disappointing.
