Yes, There Will Be An Underworld 4.
I’m not exactly sure how it happened, but there will in fact be an Underworld 4, and it will be in 3-D.
Well, okay…maybe I DO know how it happened…it probably had a lot to do with the fact that the third one brought in almost a hundred million dollars and had a shooting budget of roughly one third that much, so it’s a money-maker, which means they’re going to move heaven and earth to do more of it. They’re looking at a 2011 release date on this, so plenty of time for news to come out.
There’s not much word yet as to plot or even casting–we’ll let you know when we’ve got something more to say on that–but if we were to hazard a guess (which of course, we will!), Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen would be on the short list, with either Kate Beckinsale or Rhona Mitra coming back in to handle the lead female vampire role. I personally agree with the Rhona crowd, as Beckinsale was only peripherally around for the last one–why would she be back for the new one?
Ah well–lots to keep our eyes on in the near future!
hey uhm just wanted to say when they come out with the fourth one it has to be with kate Beckinsale because there is no story with Rhona MItra…her charcter is dead..and also he movie is picking up where eveolution left off
def kate needs to be in the fourth one the movie is simply better with saleen and michael plus they left the ending of two wide open we need to know what happens next now that michael and saleen are obvioulsy the two most powerful beings…
FIRST I LIKE TO SAY I LOVED ALL THREE MOVIES AND AS ASPIRING ACTRESS; I WISH I COULD DO A ACTION MOVIE LIKE THIS. I REALLY LOVE KATE BECKINSALE AND WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER IN UNDERWORLD 4. IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING SHE IS A WONDERFUL ACTRESS. SOKEEP UP THE GOOD WORK KATE; WE ALL LOVE YA!
In the first one Luciann injected Michaels blood just before he got shot with the silver nitrate… so i think it would be a wise idea to keep luciann in the movie considering he stole the show in rise of the lycans (Underworld is by far the best Vamp or Lycan movie of all time)

Here's some ideas they can work with though The blonde vamp can play a big role this time!she will battle more for selena ect.How about the other covens both sides??Some elders are left?we know the 5 major ones are dead,victor,marcus,amelia ,lucian and raze But are there others ??see they can make a good story IF they take time they must not forget the 2 main stories from movies or it would suck Kate and micheal need to be in it for sure or a waste of time!.The 3d part is not a big deal to most fans of underworld like myself its how they will bring a new story and make it still fit the old ones !!And who rises as leaders and those who fight agianst the mixing of breeds <victors views>ect I'm excited and yet have some doubts about 4th movie

Did you people forget that or sumthin? What were you watching when she died in Rise of the Lycans??? BETTER YET: What in the HELL were you paying attention to when Sonja (her character) died in Lucian's MEMORY in the FIRST MOVIE????
As a side note: I read none of the comments, I simply read the article and got slightly annoyed with people wanting a character to return even though she's been dead for HUNDREDS of years……..common sense please. Use it.
Of course it has to be Kate. Will ‘Michael’ be coming back? Did the new powers that Selene got at the end of Evolution only affect her for a little while? I don’t think so. It would be cool if Lucian did somehow survive. And I too thought that they give that blonde chick more of a story.
