Ron Emmerich had the biggest opening day ever with his film 2012. 2012 outpaced A Christmas Carol by $18 million. It’s a phenomenal opening for a second week of holiday scheduled movies.  This is It is nowhere to be seen while emotional, tear-jerking film Precious came in fourth place.
