I’ve always been impressed with James Cameron movies.  I’ve even interview those who have worked with him and found him to be a little unorthodox. Still, he is very focused and tells a great story.  I will even call him a genius.  This is what James Cameron said about Avatar on Charlie Rose last night.

“This is a chance to take — the idea was you’re going to take the audience to a journey to another world and a journey through that world, a stranger in a strange land.  You go to a guy, you go to an alien world, you meet an alien culture.  And these were all the goals sitting.  And I called up all this imagery that I’ve ever drawn over 20 years previously.  And it just flowed.  It just flowed out very rapidly, and I probably wrote the whole thing in about three weeks.”

Avatar imagery beholds Cameron’s ability to create a beautiful world and tell a wonderful story.
