Brittany Murphy’s Last Movie Deadline All Sorts Of Irony
And it’s a really twisted sort of irony, too. See, Brittany Murphy’s most recent (and by the look of it, last) movie was called Deadline, and it was about her as a writer, who was facing down a deadline (hence the title) and went out to a house in the country to wrap up her piece. But it’s not that easy, of course, as things begin to happen to her…highly unpleasant things, in point of fact.
Well, sounds pretty good–until you consider that the cover art features Murphy floating half out of a tub of water. And even that wouldn’t be so bad… if Murphy hadn’t died in her bathroom only a few days ago.
So Redbox, among others, has pulled the art. We’ve got the original here–not to be ghoulish, of course, but strictly for informational purposes. It’s definitely a freaky coincidence and I personally applaud Redbox for a classy move. Oh, and this one just went on my queue–look for a review in a few days.
