That’s most of the answer to the question posed above.

Producer Wyck Godfrey actually gave a bit of interview that described an interesting concept; seems that Origins is going to be about what it sounds like, a prequel to Gears of War as opposed to an actual Gears of War adaptation.  Now, you’ll excuse me if that strikes me as interesting.  I have to admit, I’d always sort of wondered about how the world of Gears of War managed to get that unified that quickly and on that deep a military footing that quick.  They basically went from Emergence Day to fighting within a matter of days from what it seemed like.  Admittedly, my last tour in Gears of War was some time ago, but it did sort of strike me odd.  Some background there would be much appreciated.

So don’t look for this one too soon, but it shouldn’t be much longer than maybe 2010 before we start seeing Gears of War again, on a much bigger screen.
