Cheery news, folks!  Ghostbusters 3 now has confirmation in TWO directions that shooting will begin this summer, with both Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis weighing in.  But what else Ramis gave us is a nifty piece of news that suggests that–get this!–the release date will be in 2011.

Man, this just gets weirder, freakier, and if it’s possible, only makes me want to see it more!  Alyssa Milano AND Eliza Dushku are supposed to be showing up for Ghostbusters 3 now!  You know it’s a party when they bring in Eliza Dushku comes in!  And with Bill Murray showing up as a ghost still very much a possibility, this is going to be unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

Of course, it’ll remain to be seen whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, and either way, well, we’ll find out. And soon, too…2011 is not so far away.  I think we’re all hoping for the best and fearing the worst…as people who loved Ghostbusters, the thought of a bad Ghostbusters 3 is tough to bear.
