Giveaway — Angel and the Badman
An injured gunfighter seeks redemption and pursues love in Angel and the Badman, riding onto DVD is now available from Barnholtz Entertainment (distributed by Lionsgate Entertainment).
A remake of the 1947 John Wayne classic, Angel and the Badman stars Lou Diamond Phillips as Quirt Evans, a notorious gunfighter who – critically wounded when a deal with fellow outlaws goes bad – takes shelter with a docile Quaker family. As a result, the hardened man is transformed from a man of violence into a man of peace. Phillips makes this role believable as he sincerely plays to the Quaker family.
Quirt develops a growing attraction to Temperance, played by Deborah Kara Unger, the family’s beautiful, loving and widowed daughter. As a result, the hardened man is transformed from a man of violence into a man of peace. Temperance is pretty happy about that, she wants Quirt real bad.
But his former partner, Laredo Stevens played by Luke Perry isn’t keen on letting Quirt slip away so quietly and easily. I like Perry as the bad guy. His good looks counter the cold heart.
Can Quirt embrace his passive new life or will his demons prevent him from letting the past die? Also features John Wayne’s grandson, Brendan Wayne.
Screenhead has 4 copies of Angel and the Badman available as a giveaway. Post your name and we will pick the winners Wednesday, December 23, 2009.
