Golden Globe Awards Announced

We now know who will be walking the red carpet for The Golden Globes Award nominations by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association were announced this morning. We have quite a lineup of potential Globe winners that includes Up in the Air showing the way with six mentions that including best picture, drama.
Other nominations for best picture drama include Avatar, Inglourious Basterds, The Hurt Locker and Precious.
Musical-comedy picture nominees include Nine, 500 Days of Summer, The Hangover, Julie and Julia and It’s Complicated.
James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow compete against each other in the top Globe category and are former husband and wife. I posted an interview with Cameron about Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker, which she recently won LA Critics and NY Critics awards; he had nothing but praise about her work and the film.
Meryl Streep stars in both Julie and Julia and It’s Complicatedand both are competing for Muscial-comedy picture.
One can’t help but speculate on the Oscar nominations, which will be announced February 2, 2010.
