Okay, maybe we were starting to take the whole 3D thing a bit too far anyway.

The word is currently back that there will be no 3D for Iron Man 2, regardless of what the earlier rumors said back around September.

Admittedly, it’s kind of sad in a way–would have kind of liked to have seen Iron Man flying around and getting in an nice repulsor beam fight in 3D.  But I think we can all do without it–it’s Iron Man 2.  It’s not like it’s not going to be amazing regardless of the format it’s in!  Seriously, folks, does anyone look for this to suck now that it’s not going to be in 3D?

Nah, me neither.

And one way or another, we’ll get to see how it turns out soon enough as Iron Man 2 looks to kick off the summer movie season way, WAY too early April 30th, 2010.
