Pee-Wee’s Playhouse Coming Back To Big Screen

On December 11th, 2009

AAAAARGH!

I know, I know, I couldn’t resist.  Seems that Pee-Wee’s been let off the hook by the entertainment community for his past indiscretions (and really..getting caught with your pants down in a porno theater is WAY less serious and a lot less creepy than Roman Polanski, and he’s still making movies).

The script is done, so says Paul Reubens in an interview with MTV, it’s ready to shoot and they’re getting everything set up for the next installment of the Pee-Wee Herman saga.  This time, they’re going back to the playhouse, but not for long.  About the only thing that Reubens would say about the movie is that, oh yes, there will be…puppets.  LOTS of puppets.  They’re actually going to Puppetland for this one, which, as anyone who used to rot their brain with that particular show on Saturdays knows (guilty!) is home to the three-member Puppet Band.

They’re still getting ready to shoot, so release dates are going to be pretty far off yet, at LEAST the tail end of 2010, if that, so just relax, wait, and don’t forget to say the secret word.
