It’s been an absolutely mindblowing couple days for me in the news department, folks…no sooner do I find one preposterous tidbit then all of a sudden another, equally preposterous, one shows up to muscle in!  I find myself downright horrified by the frequency of news these days!

Anyway, this preposterous tidbit comes from the casting folks currently working on the movie adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. In case you haven’t already heard about this one, it’s a parody in which the events of Pride and Prejudice are presented…but in the midst of a full-blown Zombie Apocalypse.

Thus, when Natalie Portman plays Elizabeth Bennet, she’ll still be the feisty, spunky heroine pursing the love of the arrogant Mr. Darcy, only the difference here is she’ll likely be taking the crystal candlesticks upside the head of a walking dead people-eater.

That’s awesome for too many reasons.

No word on release dates just yet, sadly, though since they’re still casting that’s only to be expected, but man, this sucker’s gonna be entertaining!
