‘Repo Men’ Restricted Trailer

On December 24th, 2009

The reason why you’ll see red at the beginning of this trailer is because it is restricted and you better be old enough to see Repo Men trailer.

The movie is a futuristic action-thriller about humans who have extended and improved their lives through highly sophisticated and expensive mechanical organs created by a company called The Union.  But not so light and happy because there is a flip side to this mania of medical breakthroughs, which is that if you don’t pay your bill, The Union sends its highly skilled repo men to take back its property. Ouch!

Jude Law and Forest Whitaker star in this bloody movie as two of the top repo men in The Union. But when Remy (Law) suffers a cardiac failure on the job, he awakens to find himself fitted with the company’s top-of-the-line heart-replacement…as well as a hefty debt.  But a side effect of the procedure is that his heart’s no longer in the job.  When he can’t make the payments, The Union sends its toughest enforcer, Remy’s former partner Jake (Whitaker), to track him down.

As the catch phrase goes: The hunter has become the hunted.  Remy meets Beth (Alice Braga) who is another debtor who teaches him how to vanish from the system.  And as he and Jake embark on a chase across a landscape populated by maniacal friends and foes, one man will become a reluctant champion for thousands on the run.

I loved this movie the first time I saw it…when it was called Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Maybe this one will play it a little straighter, though. A little less music and a little more plot.
