Joy and happiness, folks, as one of the greats of the last thirty years of horror cinema comes back to give us more fun with his upcoming title Web Cam.

The good news, this is filming in 3-D, so chances are at least pretty good it’ll get some theater time.  The bad new is it’s filming in Romania so we may never actually see it outside of the video store.

So what’s Web Cam about, you wonder?  Well, it’s about webcams.  Yes, you may officially groan at that lousy humor, but it’s no less true.  More specifically, however, this one’s about a guy who throws a party for a bunch of high school kids and sets up an array of tiny webcams around the place.  These webcams transmit back to a central server with a much darker purpose–to allow an audience the chance to vote on who gets to leave the party alive…and who doesn’t.

Sounds like it might be a thriller, and they’re going to start shooting this beastie in 2010.
