Folks, let this always be a lesson to you to keep a tight watch on YouTube, because I was definitely surprised to discover that there was a sequel very recently released for a nifty little zombie short called The Essentials.

And now, in The Essentials, Part Two, we find a looter out in the midst of a Zombie Apocalypse who runs into plenty more than he can handle.

I found it absolutely hilarious that the looter, who’s essentially out robbing houses to survive, is willing to obey the law sufficiently to take a moment while running from zombies to put on a helmet before he gets on his escape bicycle.  Though this actually comes in handy later in the short.

Still no dialogue, and frankly, the crew behind this really need to get their zombies consistent–some are almost track stars that can JUMP while others are shambling horrors in the best Romero style, but I’m definitely impressed by this amateur showing.

The Screenhead Ten Scale is just as impressed and hands these neophytes a seven out of ten for encouragement.
