Toy Story 3 Releases Script Art
I don’t really understand why the Pixar / Disney marketing machine is getting so hyped up about this. Don’t they get it? Everyone already wants to see this–putting out more stuff really isn’t going to change any minds. For the handful of people who don’t want to see it, and I truly feel bad for them, nothing’s likely to change their minds to begin with.
But for the rest of us–even crusty old horror buffs like yours truly–we can all breathe a sigh of slightly awed contentment at the images that have poured out of Pixar. You can see they’re kind of a watercolor thing going on, and it’s downright beautiful if a bit low-res. Almost reminds me of the whole Polar Express thing from a couple years back.
Best call ahead for the day off now, folks, because you know you’re going to want to see this when it comes out in theaters June 18th.
