Why The Wolfman Delays? It’s All Effects, Says Producer
That’s the word, folks, straight out of the producer’s mouth. Apparently, the biggest problem with The Wolfman remake has been getting all the textures and effects down just right. Oh, sure, there have been some reshoots…and script problems…but it’s really just because they’re being so careful and attentive to detail!
Yeah, that’s the ticket, as Jon Lovitz’s Tommy Flanagan was so wont to say. But don’t take my word for it–here’s the straightest possible scoop from producer Scott Stuber himself:
“The visual effects work was so complex that some of the stuff wasn’t ready. There were so many textures we had to create, like landscapes of London and all the elements within the London sequence; they just weren’t where they needed to be.”
See? It has nothing to do with reshoots or cost overruns or floptacular test screenings–it’s all because they want everything JUST RIGHT!
Why, I feel better already. Heh…um…why is my stomach churning?
Well, I guess we’ll all find out just how this turned out in February, which is the new current release date for this one–February 12th, specifically.
