And New Rumor on the Arrested Development Movie

On January 12th, 2010

arrested-development-segwayThis is one of the longest running rumors I’ve ever seen, going back years to the cancellation of the original series, almost. But the word has been going on and off for that whole time that, eventually, we’d get a full-length cinematic theatrical release of the Arrested Development movie.

Indeed, at last count, ALL the cast was confirmed to come back (allowing Michael Cera to once again George Michael his way through a movie, but for it to be totally appropriate this time) and a script was in process, but now we got our most concrete chunk of data on this particular cinematic Loch Ness Monster, from Wil Arnett.  Dig the word:

“We are working on the movie right now, yeah… We don’t have a completed script yet, but it’s forthcoming and we’re going to make the movie this year.”

Forthcoming.  A shooting date of sometime in 2010.  But no completed script.  Excuse me for expressing a note of skepticism, but I suppose it’s possible to start filming from an incomplete script.
