When I first saw the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, I didn’t understand the books because the cartoon drawings turned me off.  Then I saw some boys lining up to purchase the most recent book. I was surprised because it meant boys like the book.

Now it’s a movie and I like the way the trailer looks.  Real people, not cartoons, seems more appealing to me.  I hope faithful followers feel the same way. The story centers on a group of middle school boys. One student named Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) is smart, a little small for his age and an old soul.  He is hilarious in the trailer.

Wimpy Kid looks like a boy’s movie. I can’t imagine young girls watching this movie because it’s about boys being…well…boys.
