Remember how Jackie Earle Haley was going to play Sinestro in the upcoming Green Lantern movie?  And remember how that rumor got debunked when he said he’d never screen-tested for the part?  Then we got a report that said he was the “only choice” the studio had for the part?

Well, that report is director Martin Campbell himself put the word out that there IS no Jackie Earle Haley in Green Lantern.  In fact, the ACTUAL Sinestro now, apparently, is Mark Strong.

Mark Strong has been getting an unsettlingly large amount of airplay of late,  what with Sherlock Holmes and The Young Victoria.  And in fact, when you look at Sinestro and Mark Strong side by side, well, they actually do look alike.  That’s actually really great that they look alike.

So, for right now, Haley’s out and Strong’s in.  Whether that’ll stay how it is in another week or two is anybody’s guess, but for right now, that’s how it is.
