Back when I was a kid, one of the great things of summer for me–and in saying this, I am going to date myself like no tomorrow–was getting to stay up late.  So many great TV shows came on after I needed to be sound asleep, shows like one of my personal lifetime favorites, Northern Exposure.

Whenever I hear the name John Corbett any more, I automatically think of the disc jockey from Cicely, Alaska who was, possibly, as smart as he sounded like he was.

But apparently he was also big on Sex and the City, playing Aiden Shaw, Carrie’s lover at one point (and you need a program to keep track, insert rimshot here), and most fans liked him.  But he’s not coming back to do Aiden for the movie, and as to why, well, he’s not really talking.  Just, no.

Frankly I can understand this, as I once tried to WATCH Sex and the City and after about fifteen minutes I was staring entirely too longingly at a spoon that may have gouged my eyes out.  So for him to not want to come back isn’t all that surprising.  But it’s not like Corbett has that much else going on…so why pass up a check?
