Rheese And Wernick WILL Write Deadpool!

ryan_reynolds_deadpoolOh man, folks, we got all sorts of reasons to be happy today, and high on the list is the recent revelation that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are now officially confirmed to be the writing duo behind the upcoming Deadpool movie.

Just in case you’re a little sketchy on the names, and why you should even approach caring about this, the answer is a simple one–Rheese and Wernick were the guys who wrote a little film called…

…ZOMBIELAND.

Yes, that’s right, folks, the writers of Zombieland will be handling the Deadpool movie, thus erasing everyone’s worst fears that the spinoff Deadpool would be the same ridiculously out of character cold fish that he was in the Wolverine movie, which packed more canon violations per second than some fanfiction.

But we can all take a breath, secure in the knowledge that, if nothing else, Ryan Reynolds should have some pretty sweet lines to bust out, Tallahassee-style, when he gets his go-round in the red suit.

Of course, this doesn’t necessarily bode well for a Zombieland sequel, if the writers are off busily engaged in Deadpool...but I guess we can wait a couple years to find out if they went to Columbus, huh?
