Kids ran home after school to see the next segment of Star Blazers. For three years they watched the television show, not missing a single episode. They feared they lose the storyline because each show contained and important element to the whole series. The wave motion gun was the most powerful weapon in the universe, obliterating everything that came in its path.

Happily, those kids, who are now grownups, will see the wave motion gun at work again. The movie is scheduled for a December 2010 release date.  I am not sure if this is just Japan release date or worldwide.  Either way, Space Battleship Yamato is launching Japanese style!
