Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant co-wrote and co-directed Cemetery Junction. The story takes place in1970s England.  Three blue-collar friends spend their days joking, drinking and chasing girls. Freddie yearns to leave their working-class world. But the cool and charismatic Bruce and lovable loser Snork are comfortable with the way things seem in Cemetery Junction. 

Gervais recently hosted the Golden Globe Awards, starred in The Invention of Lying and has been seen in both Night at the Museum movies.  

The Cemetery Junction opens sometime this year.
