Well folks, in case you were big on Coraline–and a lot of people were, let’s be clear on that point–this next newsy bit will make you terribly terribly happy indeed.

Seems that Laika, the company that brought Coraline to jerky stop motion life, is working on its next feature.   We don’t know much about it at this stage of the game other than the title, which is actually slated to be Little White Lie.  Little White Lie, we also know, is an idea from Jan Pinkava, who had nothing to do with Coraline but was the writer of Ratatouille, a thoroughly awesome movie by most any standard.

We all know that Pixar is pretty much the force to beat right now, but it’s good to see that some competitors are getting involved and giving Pixar a little extra something to think about.  I’m glad to see other faces getting into the game, and hope that we’ll get plenty more quality products to check out.
