Giveaway — Alice Through the Looking Glass

February 10th, 2010 in Actors, Adventure, DVD, GiveAways, Movies, Music, Musical -

alice-dvd-smallTim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp, hits theaters March 5, 2010.  Screenhead has joined Infinity Entertainment Group for a giveaway of the all-star critically acclaimed classic network musical extravaganza, Alice Through the Looking Glass.

The movie is enchanting with the characters of Lewis Carroll coming to life in NBC’s exuberant and colorful 1966 musical.

The movie is adapted from the novel Through the Looking Glass (a sequel to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland) and is one of the most expensive productions of its day.

A clever blend of song, dance and whimsical humor, this captivating journey is for both the young and the young-at-heart.

Alice (Judi Rolin) is playing chess in her father’s study when the Red King (Robert Coote) comes to life and beckons her through a mirror into Looking Glass Land.  She is greeted by the Red Queen (Agnes Moorehead) and the White Queen and King (Nanette Fabray, Ricardo Montalban) who lament that their subjects are being terrorized by the evil Jabberwock (Jack Palance).

Deciding she would like to become a queen herself – thus ending the Jabberwock’s harsh rule – Alice sets out on her own adventure.  As she travels through the Garden of Talking Flowers, Pink Forest and other magical places, she encounters such familiar characters as Tweedledum and Tweedledee (Tom and Dick Smothers) and Humpty Dumpty (Jimmy Durante) as well as charming new friends like Lester the Jester (Roy Castle).

A clever blend of song, dance and whimsical humor, this captivating journey is for both the young and the young-at-heart.

Screenhead has 4 copies of Alice Through the Looking Glass to give away. To enter the giveaway, post your name and we will pick the the winners Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
