Last Harry Potter movies to be in 3D

February 2nd, 2010 in Fantasy, Sequels -

HarryPotterDH1_article_story_mainLast summer, when I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I was given a pair of 3D glasses when I entered the theater. I was then told that only the first 20 minutes were in 3D.

I couldn’t help but think: “Geez, you’re giving me the first twenty minutes in 3D, so why couldn’t you just do the whole film?” I’m sure that the reason why only the first 20 minutes were in 3D was probably due to deadline pressure, even though the sixth Harry Potter film had a delayed release date.

I’m not certain whether anyone minded “Harry Potter and the not even half-done 3-D movie”, but Warner Brothers decided to release the last Harry Potter movie (or movies, because its in two parts) in 3D.

So it looks like Harry is will face off with Voldermort in three dimensions! All right. As far as I know, the 3D didn’t affect the release date as Part 1 is due out Nov. 19, and Part 2 in May 2011.
