Rihanna possibly to star in The Last Dragon remake

Since the Karate Kid is getting a remake, I suppose any 80′s movie that came out at around that time is fair game.
Sony is apparently working on a remake of The Last Dragon with Samuel L. Jackson, and there has been rumors that pop Star Rihanna will be in it.
Oh man, I remember suffering through The Last Dragon when I was a kid, with Bruce Leroy and Sho Nuff. Assuming that the studio keeps with the original plot from the Barry Gordy movie, then we are looking at Rihanna to play a role originally played by Vanity.
