Scout Taylor-Compton Discovers Either Hypocrisy Or Raging Sarcasm

On February 1st, 2010

I can’t quite tell which, folks, because there’s this awesome video of Scout Taylor-Compton, who was Laurie Strode in the miserable wreckage that was both of Rob Zombie’s Halloween titles, describing the circumstances under which she would return to do another Halloween.

And she wants to make it clear, almost to the point of derangement, that she won’t do it again unless the script is solid.

Apparently she got a call from the folks out there saying that Halloween 3 was going to start in two months.  No script…no director…oh, and did she want in?  She said no, according to the video, because she thought it was “pushing too fast” and “they were going to make it suck”.  And she adamantly REFUSED to “do a movie that sucked”.

Honey, I got NEWS–they couldn’t possibly make it suck much more than it already did.  If it sucked any more it’d have to come clear back around to campy parody and that might’ve been entertaining.    You’re going to refuse to do a movie that sucks? You already did TWO!  Why start refusing now?
