The Comic Con Documentary by Joss Whedon and Morgan Spurlock

On February 18th, 2010

Spurlock-MI just got finished watching The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special, which was directed by documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, most famous for Super Size Me. I was not pleased with it. It was less an anniversary special than it was a praise of this piece of animated pop culture.

On the special, Morgan Spurlock visits Comic-con in San Diego to meet the biggest Simpson fans, and he is going to do a film about Comic-Con. He’s even going to team up with Buffy, Firefly, Angel, and Dollhouse (sadly) creator Joss Whedon.

Okay, what do you think this will show? That Comic-con fans are a bunch of crazy people? Did we already know that?
