Sure Zachary Quinto is terrific as Sylar (at least in the first season of Heroes) and he made a pretty good Mr. Spock for the last Star Trek movie. However, he may play…George Gershwin?

Say what? Apparently, this Gershwin biopic is one of Steven Spielberg’s projects, which have yet to see the light of day since that last Indiana Jones film.

Apparently, nothing is official, but DreamWorks has been prepping Quinto for the role. They’ve hired accent and dialogue coaches for the actor, and shooting could begin in April.

Well, hopefully, Mr. Quinto will not be trying to slice off the tops of people’s heads in this role. Was Gershwin a stoic emotional man? His Spock role might help him.
