We’ll be hearing a lot about the Oscars this week, and here’s a recent development: Simon Monjack, the husband of recently-deceased actress Brittany Murphy, will be attending the presentation.

Monjack says that he will be “fasting for the next seven days in order to fit into my tux” and is planning on bringing Brittany’s mother Sharon as his guest. There is doubt on whether she can attend due to her health.

The Academy Awards this year will have an In Memoriam tribute that will mention Brittany as well as other actors who have passed away last year.
