Steven Spielberg to direct Robopocalypse?
Daniel H. Wilson has written such books like How To Survive a Robot Uprising: Tips on Defending Yourself Against the Coming Rebellion, and there is already discussion on the movie rights for his upcoming novel, Robopocalypse.
Believe it or not, Steven Spielberg might want to helm this particular movie. Dreamworks did option the script in November, which will be written by Drew Goddard, writer of Cloverfield.
I suppose that since Spielberg was the executive producer on the Transformers movies, I don’t see why he can’t do another robot film that will hopefully be better than Revenge of the Fallen. You have to keep in mind that this Robopocalypse movie is five films the director is tied to, not to mention that elusive fifth Indiana Jones film and the TinTin project that we know he is doing for Summer 2011.
