Sandra Bullock took home the Oscar for Best Actress for her work on The Blind Side, but just the day before, she picked up a not-at-all-coveted Golden Raspberry award for her work in All About Steve. She has said that she will keep her Razzie on the same shelf with her Oscar.

I have to admire how Bullock took the news of winning the Razzie. She did not become a diva and become outraged, saying things like: “I’ve just been nominated for an Oscar, hello!” Instead she received her Razzie in person, and then went to get her Oscar the very next day.

I think stories like Bullock’s are the reasons that we admire celebrities so much. One of these days I am going to say to my kids: “Don’t feel down. You know that Sandra Bullock won an Oscar the same year she won a Razzie”.
