According to the Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood 411 blog, the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine is ready to start shooting in January.

The Script was written by Christopher McQuarrie, and it will apparently focus on the time that Wolverine spent in Japan. As someone who knows a little bit about the Wolverine mythology, I can’t help but wonder if they will introduce Logan’s mentor Ogun and his one-time lover, Mariko Yashida.

Whatever they do, I can’t imagine it being better than the first Wolverine movie, but then again, I didn’t think the first film was all that good. By the way, what will they call it? X-men Origins: Wolverine II is way too long. I’m sure it will just be abbreviated to Wolverine II.
