With upcoming films such as Legend of the Guardians and Sucker Punch on his plate, director Zack Snyder definitely has no shortage of work these days.  However, even with production for these movies currently in development, Snyder already has another film project in mind, a prequel to his hit film, 300.

In an interview with Coming Soon’s Superhero Hype, Snyder explained that the character of Xerxes, the main villain from 300 is destined to make another appearance on the big screen.  He is currently collaborating with Frank Miller to generate ideas for the prequel.  However, the possibility of another 300 film is still mainly an idea on the discussion table.

So, fans of 300 will just have to wait and see if this prequel will actually come fully into fruition.  In the meantime, the fans may have a nice treat coming soon to satisfy their appetite for a while.  Warner Bros is currently considering the idea of re-releasing 300 in 3D.  Snyder was apparently inspired to go 3D with his filming of Sucker Punch after Warner Bros showed him a ten-minute reel of 300 in 3D.  It seems that 3D filming is still a rising fad in the movie industry since movies like Avatar and Alice in Wonderland were released and Clash Of The Titans is due to come out in 3D next month.  In time, we’ll see whether or not if 3D will really revolutionize the motion picture business.
