IMAX Under The Sea Movie Review–
Apparently, the folks out at Warner Brothers, who sent me a copy of IMAX Under The Sea to review, know I’m a sucker for any kind of movie that deals with ocean life. Because Under the Sea is absolutely stuffed with it.
Narrated by Jim Carrey–which in itself was a huge and actually pleasant surprise–IMAX Under The Sea is a colorful, brilliant and deeply, DEEPLY engaging look at just what’s going on down there. With a terrific soundtrack that underscores what’s going on nicely, and absolutely astonishing visuals, IMAX Under The Sea is downright amazing.
The best part here, of course, is how many expectations this thing defies. You might think that a consummate funnyman like Jim Carrey would be utterly unqualified to narrate a move about sea life. You’d be wrong. You might think that an IMAX movie would be unwatchable on a normal television. You would, again, be wrong. And you might well think that a movie about ocean life might be so dull as to be impossible to sit through, or even write a coherent review about.
And once again, you’d be wrong. This thing will shatter so many expectations, and do it with such astonishing style–and even a few laughs–that you’ll be downright amazed by what you’ve seen. Oh, and there’ll even be some educational bits in there, in case you ever wanted to learn more about your local ocean ecosystem. You will, once again, be surprised.
Surprises, folks–that’s the word of the day here, and IMAX Under The Sea will bring them in droves. Thus, the Screenhead Ten Scale is more than happy to give this beautiful, surprise-filled wonder a full ten out of ten for being outright awesome, personally appealing, and offering a whole lot more than anyone had any real right to expect.
