Warner Bros. plans to release Batman 3 on July 20, 2012.  Christopher Nolan will return to direct, but no word yet on who gets to play Batman, no script and no villains.

The announcement came due to the fact that Batman 3 will be in 3D and 3D screens are being rented out so far ahead that this date has to be locked down.
