Tom Cruise told Empire Magazine that Brad Bird is the director for the next installment of Mission Impossible.

“The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille – Brad is enormously talented and JJ and I are having a blast, cranking away,” Cruise told Empire. “We’re having a lot of fun. I like working with people I just love hanging out with. You get to hang out and laugh and talk stories and movies and technology: what are we going to do?”

Sounds like fun working with some of the top people in the business. Bird is one of my favorite directors. I can’t wait to see a movie by Bird shot with real people and real photography.
