Joe Dante’s history has blazed a trail of unique, wild and fun movies like Gremlins, Innerspace, Second Civil War, Howling and Small Soldiers all through the American cinemascape.  The guy is full of energy and it shows in his movies, even in The Hole trailer.

Filmed in 3-D,  the story follows Susan (Teri Polo), a mother who moves in with her teen sons to a rural house. The three are forced to face their fears after discovering a bottomless hole in the basement.

The movie seems too scary for kids, but I don’t know. What do you think?
