Iron Man 2 pounded on Robin Hood at the box office on Friday. The Robert Downey Jr. starrer defeated Russell Crowe’s starrer by earning almost $15 million. Robin Hood earned nearly $13 million.

Enticing the third and fourth spots at the box office are Letters to Juliet, starring Amanda Seyfried, almost earning $5 million, and Just Wright, starring Queen Latifah, nearly earning $2.9 million.  

Freddy Krueger’s story, A Nightmare on Elm Street, brought in about $1.6 million rounding out the top five winners at Friday’s box office.
