No surprises here folks. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be shot in 3D. The Pirates franchise has been on a long voyage, lost at sea, since the departure of Disney’s former chairman, Dick Cook. 

Now, it’s smooth sailing with Disney chairman Rich Ross. He made it official today that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is still scheduled for release on May 20, 2011, arriving in 3D.
